San Mai (三枚) — “three layers.” In our interpretation, those layers are not assembled — they are forged, welded, and perfected by hand.

This is not factory laminate. This is traditional forging guided by modern metallurgy. A master bladesmith forges the stainless Damascus by hand. Layers are repeatedly folded and forge-welded. Nickel interlayers are introduced during the stacking process.

Controlled forge bonding under precise temperature and pressure. Each billet is individually built — layer by layer — until the Damascus achieves both structural integrity and visual depth.

Precision Core Integration:
Once the Damascus cladding is complete, it is forge-welded to the high-performance cutting core. The central core is prepared, profiled, and surface-conditioned Damascus outer layers are welded to both sides of the core. Full metallurgical bonding across all three layers. Structural alignment for optimal load distribution. This is true laminated blade architecture — not surface layering.

San Mai Construction:
We produce fully forged laminated blades in the San Mai style with stainless steel cladding applied to both sides of the central cutting core. This represents a new level of structural refinement in blade production.
