Optical Microscope for Knife Sharpening

This optical microscope is designed to visually monitor all critical processes occurring on the cutting edge during sharpening. It allows full control over angle consistency, abrasive transition, burr formation, and surface cleanliness — directly during the sharpening process.

The optical insert provides a true upright (direct) image, ensuring natural perception and eliminating distortion across the entire field of view, even with a shorter optical tube.

The advanced diffuse fill lighting system delivers soft, informative illumination of bevels and the cutting edge. Thanks to the lower positioning of the diffuser and direct light alignment with the optical axis, scratches and burrs are clearly highlighted without harsh reflections.

The microscope features 360° rotating illumination, multiple brightness modes, and precise fine focus adjustment, making it ideal for professional sharpeners and enthusiasts.

Platform System

The dedicated platform ensures the optical axis of the microscope is perpendicular to the sharpening plane, keeping the entire bevel surface in sharp focus — even at magnifications above 50×, where depth of field becomes extremely shallow.

The platform mounts directly onto most sharpening systems and installs on the abrasive guide rail. The microscope remains stable on the blade and does not require hand support during focusing, inspection, or photo/video recording.
